KACHING (KCH) FAQ
What is Kaching and how does it function?
Kaching is a decentralized prize-linked protocol built on the Cronos Chain. It operates as a "no-loss" system where users stake assets, such as CRO, to participate in prize draws. Instead of losing the principal amount to buy tickets, the protocol generates yield by deploying the staked assets into various yield-bearing strategies. This generated interest forms the prize pool, which is then distributed to winners in periodic draws, allowing participants to keep their original deposit.
What is the difference between KCH and xKCH tokens?
KCH is the native utility token of the Kaching ecosystem. When users stake their KCH tokens into the protocol’s vaults, they receive xKCH in return. This token represents the user's share of the staking pool. Holding xKCH allows participants to qualify for additional rewards and incentives within the protocol. Depending on the chosen vault, lock-up periods can range from a few months to several years to maximize the accumulation of rewards.
How are tickets distributed and what are the odds of winning?
Tickets for the prize draws are automatically assigned based on the volume of assets a user has staked. Generally, the protocol grants one ticket for every 1 CRO staked. The odds of winning are proportional to the total number of tickets in the pool. Therefore, staking more assets increases the number of tickets held, which statistically improves the probability of winning a prize in either the regular draws or the larger periodic "Mega Draws."
Are there specific rules regarding unstaking and claiming prizes?
While standard staking often offers flexibility, specific high-yield vaults or special draws may implement an unstaking period, such as 28 days. Users should review the terms before committing assets. Regarding prizes, they are not always automatically distributed to wallets; winners must often manually claim rewards via the dashboard. A small prize claim fee is typically applied, which is redirected back into the protocol to support the ecosystem's sustainability.
Is Kaching truly a "no-loss" protocol?
The "no-loss" label signifies that users retain ownership of their staked principal. Unlike traditional lotteries where the ticket cost is gone forever, Kaching users can withdraw their original deposit. However, participants should be aware of smart contract risks and opportunity costs. By participating, users forgo the guaranteed individual staking yield they might have earned elsewhere in exchange for a chance to win a much larger prize from the collective interest pool.
How is the project secured and integrated within the ecosystem?
Kaching is an independent protocol deeply integrated with the Cronos Chain. It works alongside various decentralized exchanges for liquidity and has been featured in major ecosystem launch events. The protocol is compatible with leading Cronos-supported decentralized wallets. To ensure security, the project has undergone audits by professional firms like Paladin, with reports made available to the public to verify the integrity of the smart contracts and prize distribution mechanisms.
